LaToya Foster, a native Washingtonian, has taken the most powerful city in the world by storm since debuting as the host of "In The Know," a Sunday morning, independently- produced, television newsmagazine/political affairs program, which airs on Washington, D.C.'s ABC affiliate. She has defied the odds with her crossover appeal, bringing a fresh, engaging perspective to politics and current events. LaToya has the ability to cross racial and gender lines, political parties, and attract a younger audience to the world of politics. LaToya is the first and only Generation X, African-American female to host a Sunday morning political talk show in the Nation's Capital and perhaps the country, distinguishing her from other popular commentators.
LaToya has appeared as a panelist and guest on MSNBC, Fox News, Black Entertainment Television, Radio One and XM Radio.
Her winning personality and aggressive approach to getting the job done has led her to interview many of the world's most powerful leaders and prominent newsmakers, including President Barack Obama, 2008 GOP Presidential Candidate Sen. John McCain, Vice President Joe Biden, Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, and NBA legend Michael Jordan, among other renowned headliners. LaToya has made quite a name for herself, and has impressed industry insiders for her ability to speak from the heart often times in place of a teleprompter.
As a talk radio host, LaToya made it her priority to be the voice of the least, the last, and the lost. Her commitment to engaging the disenfranchised led her to produce a weekly political roundtable on her radio shows "Live at 5" and "Handle Your Business," which airs on Radio One, discussing the week's top political stories with various political analysts and strategists from both parties, as well as the callers who voiced their opinions.
LaToya frequently blogs for FoxNews.com, and has contributed to national publications, including Upscale Magazine and The Source. She also covers professional sports for local publications, news wire services and talk radio. Moreover, LaToya was an active member of the Washington, D.C. Boxing and Wrestling Commission.
Additionally, LaToya has demonstrated her commitment to public service. LaToya frequently traveled to Asia and Africa in efforts of improving the quality of transportation systems globally to enhance economic cooperation opportunities.
LaToya is very popular for her community involvement, raising awareness to children in foster care, and mentoring inner-city youth. LaToya has been featured in the Washington Post and the Washington Times for her commitment to making a difference in the foster care system, as well as promoting civic engagement.
